Henry Green

Henry Green is an electronic artist and singer-songwriter based in Bristol, England. His distinctive style is a blend of indie, folk and electronic with melancholic melodies and lyrics.

Henry is one of those rare talents that has managed to combine raw artistry with the unwavering determination to hone and shape that gift into the best it can possibly be. A self-taught all-rounder, he writes, produces and sings on all his tracks, and even takes on mixing duties when required. The result is captivating. With a level of sonic sophistication and cohesion that somehow feels effortless, this is a true artist at the height of their powers.

Following on from the success of his first 2 albums - Shift (2018) & Half-Light (2020) - as well as a number of heavyweight collaborations with the likes of Kygo, Christian Loffler, Parra for Cuva, Max Cooper and Cyril Hahn, Henry has amassed hundreds of millions of streams worldwide, supported London Grammar and Nick Mulvey on tour, and sold out a number of headline shows of his own. He now returns with his first original material since lockdown.

After years of self-imposed isolation in a sleepy Wiltshire village, Henry, like all of us, was forced inwards over lockdown. But, for someone who already thrived in their own space whilst the world outside kept spinning, the pandemic presented a new layer to unravel around the idea of belonging. With everyone confined to the same limits, the freedom to sink into guilt-free seclusion was countered by an onslaught of public pessimism towards the very way of life that he had so long enjoyed. Pouring the intense duality of lockdown into his music, he has waded through his most potent sense of imposter syndrome and paralysing fear to deliver what is undoubtedly his best work to date.

There is something for everyone in Henry Green's music. Rich in ubiquitous themes and lyrics, simultaneously dance and chill, both piercing and soothing, whether you float away with the instrumental or lean into the vocal journey, this is an accomplished album from an accomplished artist who is only getting better with time.
