Nubiyan Twist release new single 'So Mi Stay'

Nubiyan Twist embark on an exciting new chapter releasing their brand new single ‘So Mi Stay’.

The vibrant UK Afro-jazz powerhouse led by Tom Excell marks a significant evolution for the group as they welcome Sheffield-based artist Aziza Jaye to the forefront, adding a fresh dimension of Patois and RnB vocals to their sound. The track appears on Nubiyan Twist’s fourth album, scheduled for release in spring 2024 via Strut Records.

Known for their eclectic blend of styles and powerful big band sound, Nubiyan Twist gained global acclaim with their 2021 release, Freedom Fables. Their live performances, a thrilling exploration of tight musicianship and infectious grooves, have consistently mesmerised audiences with their virtuosic nine-piece band. ‘So Mi Stay’ is the outcome of a creative collaboration between bandleader and producer Tom Excell and the newly introduced vocalist Aziza Jaye. This single seamlessly weaves together the rich tapestries of jazz and dancehall cultures to create a tune that's ready for the dancefloor.
